Child safety locks, also known as door locks for children, are installed on the rear door locks of cars. After opening the rear door, there is a small lever below the door lock. When it is turned towards the end with the child icon and the door is closed, the door cannot be opened from the inside of the car, only from the outside. Its purpose is to prevent active and inexperienced children in the rear seats from opening the door during the journey, thereby avoiding danger. In this way, only adults can open the door from the outside after stopping the car. If the rear door of your car cannot be opened from the inside, but can be opened from the outside, it is very likely that the child safety lock is in operation. This occurs when the rear passengers activate the safety mechanism when getting on and off the car. Simply reset it to its original position.

There are two common forms of child safety lock switches: knob-style and toggle-style. The knob-style child safety lock requires the use of a key (or key-shaped object) to be inserted into the corresponding hole to turn the knob switch for locking and unlocking operations. In comparison, the toggle-style child safety lock is more convenient to use.
